Growing up, I felt that I had the best youth group ever. We always did things together as a group, like lock-ins, home group times, trips, and a lot of god, clean fun.
Now my children are teenagers and they have their own youth group. We go to Foothills Community Church and they have a good youth group as well.
Especially for this summer, the youth are doing things several times a week to keep themselves busy, which is always a great thing to do. It is always better to have teens doing something with a youth group rather than being bored and getting into trouble.
They also have video games they play, ping pong tables, ice hockey, and many other fun things to keep these kids busy. And they are getting ready to take a trip to Panama City, Fl to get a real dose of Jesus!
The really awesome thing about it all is that the youth are getting and hearing God’s word and applying it on their level and in real world terms so that it applies to them.
So take it from someone who knows, if you have teens, get them involved in a good youth group. Not only will they stay out of trouble, but they will enjoy going and the benefit to you is that they are going to be hearing about Jesus. it is a win win all the way around!

I have a friend that lives in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Her grandson’s other grandmother has been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Her name is Mars.
We are asking everyone that we know to put her on the prayer list, either personal and/or at church.
She was in the hospital but she is now back home. She has been taking chemo and radiation and the treatment seems to be working right now. Praise the lord for that.
WE know that there is power in prayer. My mom passed away last year from lung cancer and so I know first hand how difficult this is to go through. Pray for the family also.
Thank you for keeping Mars and their family in your thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and your family.

Of course this is one of those things that I felt that I needed to share.
Of course you can copy and post this as needed. Use it as you wish. This touched me
and I am hoping and praying that it touches you as well.
Written by a
15 yr. old School Kid in Ohio
: New Pledge of Allegiance
Since the Pledge of Allegiance & The Lords Prayer
Are not allowed in Schools anymore
Because the word ‘God’ is mentioned…
A Kid in Ohio
wrote the attached…
NEW School prayer :
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God’s name is prohibited by the state.
We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.. They’ve outlawed guns,
but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the ‘unwed daddy,’ our Senior King.
It’s ‘inappropriate’ to teach right from wrong,
We’re taught that such ‘judgments’ do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It’s scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school’s a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
If you aren’t ashamed to do this,
Please pass this on.
Jesus said,
‘If you are ashamed of me,
I will be ashamed of you before my Father.’
Not ashamed. Pass this on.

Anytime a story comes across my desk, or I someone tells me of a great story, I just have to share it with all of you.
Such a story just came across my desk today and I was so touched by it, I am praying that not only are you touched by it, but that the originality and the idea will spread like wildfire, especially since a lot of students will be graduating soon.
Without holding you in any further suspense, here is the story that touched me so deeply.
THE SNEEZE
They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students
filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns
flowing .. and the traditional caps, they looked almost . as grown up as
they felt.
Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely
brushed away tears..
This class would NOT pray during the commencements—-not by
choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.
The principal and several students were careful to stay
within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and
challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one
asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.
The speeches were nice, but they were routine…..until the
final speech received a standing ovation..
A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He
stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened.
All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly
SNEEZED!!!!
The student on stage.. simply looked at the audience and
said, ‘GOD BLESS YOU, each and every one of you!’ And he walked
off stage…
The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class
had found a unique way to invoke God’s blessing on their future with
or without the court’s approval.
Isn’t this a wonderful story? Pass it on to all your
friends………and
GOD BLESS YOU!!!!
This is a true story; it happened at the University of Maryland .
Oh, how I wish THIS one would take off and FILL the whole
Country!!!
