Unfortunately for me, I have 2 kids going through that awkward stage of life. PUBERTY!
My son who is 15 is about in the dead middle of this stage. He has experienced all of the classic ’symptoms’ to. (in fact, he would be mortified if he knew I was talking about it here.) He has the acne, the voice changing, growing like a weed, and eating me out of house and home. The kid can eat now.
I suppose it is understandable though. At 15, he is 6′2″ tall and weighs about 180 pounds. So, him eating that much is normal. We have also tried to find the top acne treatments for him too. He has gotten better at taking showers like he should and washing his face. Which of course, that is the biggest help of all.
He also has glasses so we have been discussing the possibility of him getting contacts. He is unsure if he wants them or not because he thinks that his glasses bring out his eyes more. He does have very beautiful eyes for a guy. You know, come to think about it, it may be better if he stuck with his glasses or else I would have more problems on my hands than I do now where girls are concerned!
My 13 year old daughter is just getting into the puberty stage and the attitude is already there. But that is for another day! Pray for my sanity. I will need it!!!

Make Christmas Comments at GlitterBell.comOh my gosh!!! I can not believe there is ONLY 88 more days til Christmas. Where did this year go?I have known for some time now that the old saying is true. “The older you get, the faster time flies!” Of course, that still brings no comfort to me. I certainly don’t need to be reminded that I am getting older, I already know that.
I counted the days left til Christmas because I was thinking of my husband’s present. I am thinking of getting him a Bluetooth headset. I believe that he would get a lot of use out of it. Especially with all the driving that he does.
And, I obviously would feel a lot better knowing that both hands are where they need to be while he is driving instead of holding onto a phone.
I have been doing a bit better this year too as far as buying gifts. I already have my 2 year old’s big gift. She will be getting a Barbie jeep for Christmas. I know she is going to love it! She always wants to sit in them when she sees them at the stores.
It is the older kids that I will have to use my imagination for. I have no idea what to get them as of yet. But I am thinking about it and looking, so I am way ahead of where I was last year as far as being prepared for Christmas.
It will be here before I know it!

I can’t keep going on like this. I have got to get someone out to my house and have my floor fixed.
I am talking about my bathroom floor. It started out as a very small hole and now it has grown to be a real BIG problem. I am seriously thinking that the best, most durable flooring that I could put in there that would withstand the abuse from my kids would be stainless steel tiles.
The original floor was not that great to start with. Now you mix that with kids that don’t like to keep the shower curtain pulled shut when they are taking a shower and well, you end up with a weak floor.
Then you have your oldest child step out of the shower in a hurry and BAM!!! His foot goes straight through the floor. Ugh! I guess you may have been able to pick up that I am not a very happy person with this.
Now don’t get me wrong, I know accidents happen, but it is irritating with the ‘accident’ could have been very much avoided!
Oh well! Just one more thing that is on the ‘To Do’ list now that needs to be fixed.

It is that time of year now when the days are getting shorter, the air is getting cooler, and the leaves will start changing. Yes, I am talking about Fall.
Now fall is my second favorite season. Spring is my favorite because I love the way everything smells when it is blooming and it is so fresh.
I hate the cold and the scorching hot weather. So you can understand why I love Spring and Fall.
It is fall and it is time to put outdoor things away like sandboxes, outdoor cushions, yard toys, and swimming pools. The kids will still be able to play with some things outside, but most of it will have to be stored and put away.
I am looking forward to seeing the leaves change. I am very fortunate to live where I do because we have the Blue Ridge Parkway that you can drive through and see all the beautiful colors over the mountains and valleys. It is an amazing sight.
If you have never been, you may want to think about traveling to this area and seeing it for yourself. It is truly breathtaking!
