This is another ones of those life lessons that is always good to share with as many as you possibly can. It really gives you something to think about. This is what I would call a POS systems. (a very positive system to live by)
Law of the Garbage Truck
One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, ‘Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!’ This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, ‘The Law of the Garbage Truck.’
He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you. Don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so . . . love the people who treat you right.
Forgive the ones who don’t.
Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!
Have a wonderful, garbage-free day!

Tags: Columbine High School, Columbine murders, Darrell Scott, NRA, prayer in school, Rachel Scott
This is another one of those things that I just had to share with all of my readers out there. This touched my heart. Please, I urge you to copy this, post it, email it, pass it along to everyone you know. It is really good stuff. You’ll see…read on!
Guess our national leaders didn’t expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.
They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:
“Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.
“The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain’s heart.
“In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA – because I don’t believe that they are responsible for my daughter’s death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel’s murder I would be their strongest opponent.
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy — it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You’ve stripped away our heritage,
You’ve outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question “Why?”
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!
“ Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up , we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational
systems for most of our nation’s history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine’s tragedy occurs — politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.
“As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America, and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA — I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your
own heart before casting the first stone!
My daughter’s death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!”
Do what the media did not – - let the nation hear this man’s speech.. Please send this out to everyone you can. God Bless

Anytime a story comes across my desk, or I someone tells me of a great story, I just have to share it with all of you.
Such a story just came across my desk today and I was so touched by it, I am praying that not only are you touched by it, but that the originality and the idea will spread like wildfire, especially since a lot of students will be graduating soon.
Without holding you in any further suspense, here is the story that touched me so deeply.
THE SNEEZE
They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students
filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns
flowing .. and the traditional caps, they looked almost . as grown up as
they felt.
Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely
brushed away tears..
This class would NOT pray during the commencements—-not by
choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.
The principal and several students were careful to stay
within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and
challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one
asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.
The speeches were nice, but they were routine…..until the
final speech received a standing ovation..
A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He
stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened.
All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly
SNEEZED!!!!
The student on stage.. simply looked at the audience and
said, ‘GOD BLESS YOU, each and every one of you!’ And he walked
off stage…
The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class
had found a unique way to invoke God’s blessing on their future with
or without the court’s approval.
Isn’t this a wonderful story? Pass it on to all your
friends………and
GOD BLESS YOU!!!!
This is a true story; it happened at the University of Maryland .
Oh, how I wish THIS one would take off and FILL the whole
Country!!!

Tags: national deficit, Tea Party rallies, what does 1 trillion look like
I have been doing a lot of reading and looking at different issues that come through my email. Here is another one that I thought I would share with all of you. It really puts things in perspective for those of us who didn’t know what 1 trillion was or looked like.
These are issues that are affecting everyone in this country. It is high time we get our heads out of the clouds and really get to looking into these things. We can’t just continue to sit on our hands and wait for someone else to pick up the ball and go with it. Or else, we will be using moving trucks to move out of this country that we call home. It is our DUTY, our JOB, and our FREEDOM that was bought at a very high price. Blood!!!
Feel free to copy any of this, re-use it, or whatever you see fit. Pray for this country and our leaders!
A moral issue: New budget has $1.2 trillion deficit
April 3, 2009
Congress and President Obama just don’t get it! The new $3.6 trillion budget includes a deficit of $1.2 trillion. One third of the budget is deficit spending, money we don’t have! That is on top of the $12 trillion we already owe.
How much is $1 trillion? Consider this: A million seconds is 11.5 days. A billion seconds is 32 years. A trillion seconds is 32,000 years. (think about that…it really puts it in perspective) We must strongly oppose the move to make ours a socialist country.
This reckless spending is a moral issue. We are passing on to our grandchildren a debt that we created. Every man, woman and child in the country already owes $35,000, and we are piling more debt on them. We are robbing them of their right to enjoy the American Dream.
On April 15, AFA is sponsoring TEA Party rallies in 1,672 cities to send a message to Washington that we want a fiscally responsible government. It is not too late to organize a TEA Party rally. But if you can’t organize a rally, contact the local organizer and ask how you can help. And be sure to attend and take a car load of friends with you to the rally.
You can find all the information you need at TEAPartyDay.com, including how to organize a TEA Party rally, location of rallies in your area. organizers and much more.
Thank you for caring enough to get involved. If you feel our efforts are worthy of support, would you consider making a small tax-deductible contribution to help us continue?
