Flu Pictures, Images and PhotosWell, I pray that you all had a better Thanksgiving than what I had. LOL!!

I should have stayed in bed on Thursday when I saw that it all started with the power outage at my house. (yes, I have already blogged about that)

Anyhoo, we were have a really nice Thanksgiving meal until my fiance started feeling really sick. He was feeling very nauseated. Not a very good combination with Thanksgiving. No there was no food poisoning!

We made through dinner but didn’t even get to the dessert. Not that I think anyone would have even if we had wanted to, there was so much food!

As soon as dinner was done, he wanted to go. Of course, there are always left overs, so I had to help with the leftovers and cleaning the kitchen.

Needless to say, we got him out of there and home, just in the nick of time.

I decided to stay with him in case he needed anything or needed me to do anything. BIG mistake. I love my fiance very , very much, but he is the kind of guy that likes to be left alone when he is sick. I am the hovering, mothering type when someone is sick. So as you can see, not a very good combination there!

He is the sweetest, most gentle, caring man that I have ever known. But when he is green from being sick, I have had to learn the hard way…Just leave him alone!!! I do believe that lesson will come in handy later on in life after we are married!

He was sick all weekend long. He works 3rd shift for his employment. And as you can imagine, he did not feel like going into work at all this weekend. I pray that he makes it ok. I just feel so bad for him. I wish there was something more I could do for him, but I realized that the best thing that I could do for him, is just to leave him be and let him get through the sickness himself.

We all ate very well. Didn’t even leave room for dessert. I know that I am really going to have to turn up the weight loss juices now.

Speaking of which, I ran across a review that I thought I would share. Just follow the link and see what you think. This Fenphedra sounded pretty good to me.  Don’t let the name scare you.

I am pressing on to loose the weight that I want to loose. I want to be done with the whole weight loss thing by the time New Year’s rolls around, or at least be more than half way done with it.

The rest of my Thanksgiving, I will have to tall you about later. It was not fun. So stay tuned for updates later on!

Again, Happy Thanksgiving!!!

candle, a light in the dark Pictures, Images and PhotosWell, if there was ever a time for bad timing, this Thanksgiving was it. I  know, I have to explain. So here goes!

I went over to a my good friend’s house for Thanksgiving. WE decided to combine our families and have Thanksgiving together. So she and I decided to cook there.

We arrived around 11:30am to start cooking. We were supposed to be there earlier but the power went out at my house and I had to  go to my financée’s house to get ready and take a shower.

I had thought to myself, it is a really good thing that I am not planning on cooking here at my house or having people over, otherwise I would be pretty upset with losing power. But as it was, I was ok with the power going out but I could imagine how others felt about it. None too happy I suppose!

I have no idea why the power went out. Anytime your power goes out, one of the first things that cross my mind is, ‘Did I pay the power bill this month?’ Now of course, I always pay my bills, but sometimes, when I am really busy, things just slip through the cracks.

No, bill got paid and was actually paid early! Go me!! I called my neighbor and my friend Alli and they didn’t have power either.

Well, I didn’t worry about it very much since I wasn’t doing Thanksgiving here anyway, but could you imagine, you have all these great plans to do dinner at your house with people coming over and all of a sudden at 9am, your power goes out! How much does that suck?!?

I still don’t know what happened to the power, but as soon as I find out, I will let you know. Maybe there is a great holiday lesson in there somewhere! :)

Weight Loss PartII

Torso Pictures, Images and PhotosI have had several comments and emails come in about losing weight.

I believe if you were to take a survey, losing weight would be the top 3 things that people set goals for.

There is no magic potion or ill or shake that I have come across and believe me when I say, I have seen a lot of different things on how to lose weight.

The main point of losing weight is to set a goal. Make it realistic and stick to it. Setting goals and having good intentions to lose weight is really good, but it will not give you your desired results.

So with that said, exercise, eat healthy, be active, and set goals. That is a great start to the question “How to lose weight“.
