I have a digital camera that ‘used’ to be the best. But like so many things in the technology world, they quickly go out of ’style’. The latest and greatest soons becomes the old and dusty.
My mom also had a digital camera that I was able get when she passed away. It is a nice one and I had to get a new flash memory card for it.
But I do need to be looking into getting a newer digital camera. One with larger megapixels and better memory.
I always hate shopping and especially for techie type items are a real pain for me. I would like to know what others out there think the best digital camera is and why. So please give me any insight that you have, I would greatly appreciate it.

In today’s society, we face numerous issues and problems with obesity, achoholism, and people that smoke. THere has been and continues to be a lot of controversary over these issues.
Now, these issues are creeping into the private sector. We have seen this with life isurance polices for some time now. The daunting question is on every life insurance policy that anyone wants to purchase for themselves or loved ones.
“Do you smoke or use tobacco products?
There are a lot of people that will lie in regards to this question to get a better premium. With no real follow up, the insurance company has no way to know if this person did or did not smoke unless an autopsy is performed, and I don’t think the insurance companies are going to fork out the dollars to pay to see if the person was truthful or not. They would go bankrupt!
In regards to health insurance for employees, how much of a follow up would be done? Sure, you could see if someone is overweight, that is the most obvious. But what about the employees who smoke or drink, or even the ones that are thin, but do not exercise? What type of follow up would these companies have to measure these regulations?
People can drink, smoke, and eat unhealthy in the privacy of their own home without the knowledge of the employer. And hey, if it gets too bad, I guess people could always go to hotels in Las Vegas. “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!”
I believe that it would only help a select few that already fall into the categories of not smoking, drinking, and who exercise. Yes, that would be an extra little benefit. But like life insurance, it would be easy for people to get around these issues to get a better premium for themselves.
Then you also have the people who actually have real health issues that cause them to be overweight. No matter what they eat or how much they exercise, they continue to be overweight. Should these people be punished because this is the way they were made? I think not!
In my opinion that is racism at its best. We pay more than enough in insurance premiums in this country as it is. Why put more stipulations on it than need be. I believe that the insurance companies would be asking for more unnecessary work and hassle than need be.Bottom line is this, no matter what ‘rules and regulations’ these companies put on people, you can’t change people’s behaviors and habits.
They have to take the initiative to make these changes themselves. The best thing that the insurance companies can do is to educate the people that choose to participate in these activites and offer help for those who want it.

This is one of the coolest things that I have come across recently. I know that it is nothing new, but I still think that it is one of those really cool gadgets.
This is a talking watch and they range in price from $35 to $65 depending on what style you like. These guys have several talking watches to choose from.
I wouldn’t mind having one for the simple fact that it would come in handy for me at night when I wake up and need to know the time.
Now you may be saying to yourself, just get an alarm clock and you can look to see what the time is, right?
Well, I guess for normal people that is great. And it is great when you don’t have eye problems.
Let me elaborate.
Just over a year ago, I had a freak accident and cut the cornea of my left eye. If you have ever had a piece of dirt or something in your eye, then you know how irritating and painful it can be. Well, when your cornea gets cut, it feels like something is in your eye all of the time.
Your eye waters profusely, bright light is excruciating, and you can’t open your eye all the way because your lid irritates the cut even more.
So every night, I have to put ointment in my eye. The ointment serves as a lubricant so my eye doesn’t get too dry at night. If it does, then when I open my eyes in the morning, my lid will stick to my eye, and rip the scab off my eye, thus causing severe pain.
There are mornings when my eye is swollen and I have to be really careful opening my eyes. Sometimes, I try to rush the process because I don’t know what time it is and I don’t want to be late getting my kids up for school. And when I rush things, my eye rips.
Time is the only thing that will heal my eye. The only problem is that each time my eye rips, that is 30 more days added to the healing process. In other words, if my eye rips for 3 mornings in a week, then I have added 90 days to the healing process. That is why it takes so long for this thing to heal properly.
So, the talking watch would be perfect for me. I could take my time opening my eyes and know what time it is. A complete win-win situation!

I recently visited my sister in NC. She had gotten her husband a Wii on his birthday back in May. And when I went to see her in August, she had gotten the Wii Fit.
She set up my ‘Mii’ character and got me started on the Wii Fit. I started ‘playing’ on the Wii Fit and very quickly realized that it was actually working me out.
I had so much fun with that thing that I decided that I had to get one for myself.
So I got the Wii in NC and proceeded to look for the Wii Fit. Everywhere was sold out. So I figured that I would find it when I got back home.
Well, no such luck. I called every store that carries them and they were always sold out. As soon as they got them in, they were gone. I was calling stores 45 minutes away too.
My search continued for about 4 1/2 weeks. Then I was in Walmart one afternoon. I stopped by Electronics to see if they had them. The lady told me they didn’t, but they were expecting some that night in the shipment.
I called and the shipment had came in, but they didn’t know what was in the shipment yet, as their supervisor was at dinner. So I waited another hour. I called again, and WAALAH!!! They had them in stock.
I went up there and was the first to receive one. I finally got my Wii Fit. I was so excited.
I now have it hooked up and I try to work out on it at least 30 minutes each day. I have missed a couple of days, but all in all, I am doing pretty good on it.
My main goal is to loose weight. It sure beats taking diet pills. My second goal in to get in shape. I know it is working because I can feel the soreness in my muscles as well as in my stomach.
I guess at the end of the day, when you want to get in shape, the most important thing is to be active, no matter how you do it, as long as you DO IT!!!

I have really been thinking about my bike here. My friend and I were discussing riding the other day.
This is my other baby. She is a 1996 CBR600F3. I have had her for about 5 years now. I have been riding for about as long too.
Motorcycles are a lot of fun to ride. My big thing is the freedom that they give you. You are by yourself, the open road, and your thoughts to keep you company. It is so awesome.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to ride for a while now. I was pregnant and then I had my little angel. Being a single mom, it makes it harder to get out and ride. Plus, I was nursing my girl and just weaned her from that.
I would like to start riding again. I even thought about selling my bike but couldn’t ever bring myself to putting a new battery in it and put it in the classifieds to sell. I made up every excuse as to why I hadn’t replaced the battery, but at the end of the day, it was because deep down in my heart, I don’t want to sell it.
I won’t have to go to the Harley parts store to get the battery, I will get it from a friend of mine at the Honda dealership. The Motorcycle dealership here in town sucks royally, and even if I was going to get the battery from them, they would probably overcharge me for it, not have it in stock, or sell me the wrong one.
It is crazy. But most sport-bike riders around here don’t even go there anymore, they will drive an extra 30 minutes to an hour to either the other motorcycle dealerships or the Harley dealership.
Ok, enough about that. Maybe I can get the battery for my bike and get out there riding again. Maybe t would help with my stress levels too!
